WHY YOU'VE LOST POWER

Creating power is the goal of every living being. To get anything in this life, one must create enough power to command his/her desire. Due to many abuses, the very concept of power carries much opprobrium. Power itself has gotten a bad name, but if good guys don’t have any power then that is a concession to bad guys and an offer to just let the bad guys walk in and take over. Power itself is a neutral concept, but it is most certainly a necessary concept. Without power there can only be loss and failure.

At root of all power is the ability to take and hold a position. That means standing for something, creating something, and keeping it there despite opposition. Opposition itself is composed of those things which try to get a person to leave the position he is holding. This universe is full of forces that move a person around and make him feel unstable and incapable of holding a position. Those people who succeed are the ones who persist despite all opposition. Most people, however, are so accustomed to being knocked out of position that they end up moving out of positions prematurely in anticipation of someone else knocking them out.

Whenever you say something you are taking a position. Humans love to take your words and twist them back on you. Politics is full of this type of activity. A person can end up feeling betrayed by his words. It is easy for a person to feel like any position he takes will be used to betray him. Often there are opposing political candidates, neither of whom wants to take any positions, but both of whom are quite willing to spend a lot of effort attacking the other’s position. Both sides think that they are destroying the other’s power in this way, but what they are really doing is weakening themselves by not taking positions. The more man follows this scheme of playing it safe and not taking any position, the weaker he will become. A nation that stands for nothing is not much of a nation.

Anything that generates power must start from a fixed position or location. A turbine could create no electricity if it weren’t bolted to the floor. When it becomes unsafe and dangerous to hold a position against the overall flow of agreements you end up with ineffectual, weakened beings; and this is at the root of everything that is wrong with you. As a human, you have come to believe that you are incapable of holding a position, that the forces of the universe are more powerful than you are, and that they determine your position rather than you making the choices of where to stand and what to be.

If you depend on something or someone else to give you power, you are at its mercy for those things can position and control you, whether they be guns, or money, or public office.

If you were to get the idea of being powerful, you would be picturing yourself holding a position and determining other’s positions. The only way a being can degrade and lose causation and self-determination is by letting others talk him out of his ability to hold a position. Next time you start out to accomplish something, if you get the idea of holding that position and keep that idea, you will be successful at whatever you do. Only your own ideas can cause you to fail to hold position.
